We had to do a quick trip to LA (laugh.. what is quick about driving to LA!) Afterward we went to Dland.. Kalani and Dan were able to meet us..

On our trip this summer.. my g10 took a couple of nasty drops.. so when we got back I took it to get it fixed.. now it seems to run really slow!

PRCA Rodeo in Norco

London and I went to the rodeo in Norco last night. We had a great time, she loved watching the mutton busting and team roping. I asked her if she wanted to try riding the sheep and she said she did. I can totally see her doin’ it!!

Chasing the Storms

We pretty much had rain 80% of our trip. The trip form MT to WY was great! We were covered the entire way.. which was wonderful because it wasn’t so hot out while we were driving. From WY we stopped in CO, where we thought we were going to face major car problems - thankfully it was only an $8 dollar fuel filer.

We stayed two nights in CO and were able to visit with Aunt Leslie and Jim. They treated us to dinner and the girls got some really cool toys from Aunt Leslie.

Sam kicked ass on our trip home from CO!! We drove straight home! 17 hours. The girls did awesome considering how long we were in the RV and during the worst heat ever, going through Vegas in the middle of the day.. and of course they were doing construction!

We were able to see my parents the next day & the girls got to go swimming!!

Return Trip: Billings, MT

Okay… So I’m a little behind in blogging!! But I thought I would post some of our photos taken our return trip home. I really thought I would have been able to blog more.. but AT&T really doesn’t have a hole lot of coverage.. and how people live without 3G is beyond me!! =)

We finally left Alberta - “Good Bye Mosquitoes”, we left late afternoon on a Friday and didn’t arrive into Billings until close to midnight. Scott trailed us on his motorcycle. We spent to two nights staying at the KOA.

Scott saw a really cool old car that he wanted to go see.. So we made an evening walk out of it. We were really happy we did so.. because after talking with the care taker of the property he ‘little by little’ kept revealing some of the property’s secrets. The owner is a huge collector of classic cars!! We basically got a private tour of a museum.

(I had to take a pictures of the girls sleeping in on Saturday morning.. this was the only day that they slept passed 8am. )

Two events not to forget

I think its a great idea to have things lined up on the same day.. the only draw back is if you forget one more than likely you’ll forget the other.

Late Friday night we realized that on Saturday it would be Scott’s 57th birthday.
It wasn’t until we viewed that the writing on the cake that we realized it was also Scott and Jana’s 34th anniversary…opps..

We have really enjoyed our visit with Scott and Jana. This has been a great time for the kids to get to know where Sam grew up, view the schools that he went to and to view the life that Red Cliff has to offer, not that it’s much.. I don’t think that we realized how boring it would be.. no disrespect intended.. The scenery is endless of sky and land going on and on and on!!!

We’ve had tons of rain and thunderstorms here. I’m glad that I brought practically all of the girls clothes!

Welcome to Alberta

Yesterday evening we made it to Sams parents house. Originally we were going to stay the night in Great Falls, Mt but we made really good time and Sam decided to drive straight through.

My phone is off.. (like I answer it anyway) and wont come back on until we reach the border on our way home. Luckily we have wifi.. so e-mails are good and if you need to cal.. you have Sams cell phone number.

320 Ranch

For myself.. the highlight of the trip happened on Wednesday. I made reservations at the 320 Ranch. Sam was able to go on a 2 hour ride and the girls and I took a little hay ride to a bbq on the ranch. The girls loved the hayride. We were pulled by two Percheron draft horses. Once we reached the bbq, the storm broke loose, we ran for cover to a tented area to have dinner. While we running for cover, Sam was still out on his ride - he said it was absolutely awesome. Apparently Sam has a natural horsemanship in him because he was offered a job at the ranch as a wrangler until October. After the bbq we were able to make smores.. Once we were back to the RV we were treated to a hail storm.

Canada Trip: Big Sky, MT

From Jacksonhole, WY to Big Sky, Mt we traveled through West Yellowstone. The geysers are right next to the road, you can just see the steam coming off. I was really amazed at how many fly fisherman there were. It seems to me that there are more tourists on this side. I felt bad for the elk and buffalo that we saw.. talk about paparazzi overload! Crap - is that how my kids feel? =) The drive into Montana was absolutely beautiful! I can’t to move into this area! Guess I need a job first.. huh.. I’ll have to work on that.

For two night we stayed at the Red Cliff campground. The site was gorgeous, the Gallatin River was directly behind us. We had a thunder and lightening storm our first night there.
