***UPDATE** Take a look at Mitzi site, she was some great photos up!
The first I heard of Rileys Farm was on the t.v. show Wife Swap. It showed a place that reenacted the Civil War.. to be honest I thought it was back East somewhere.. well I was wrong again. Riley’s Farm is in Oak Glen about a 20 minute drive from Hemet.
For the last two years, Mitzi and I have exchanged family sessions. She shoots my family portraits and I shoot hers. Yup, that’s her. She’s the one who took the studio shots of London and the family on the top header of the blog.
Last month we decided to shoot our sessions at Riley’s park, where Mitzi and her friend Julie have been going every fall for the last couple of years. Last minute we decided that it’ll be a great “Mom’s day with the kids”. Which was perfect, because our husbands weren’t able to make it.
I just want to thank Mitzi’s and her kids, expecially Nathan and Megan for helping so much with Jacquelyn. They are going to great babysitters! Nathan and Jacquelyn immediately hit it off… Nathan was able to help Jacquelyn fill her basket with apples. Mitzi was able to get some great shots of him climbing the apple tress and giving the apples to Jacquelyn. Megan was awesome after lunch helping Jacquelyn in and out of the car, holding her hand up the path to the pumpkins and playing with her in the sprinklers! You too kids are the best!!!
Here are a few photos that I was able to take..

Jacquelyn kept asking, “where are my friends?” and I said “who” and she said “her and him”, referring to Megan and Nathan. We will have to do this again soon, Jacquelyn is already asking when we can go back! She feel asleep within 5 minutes from leaving the farm!
We got up early this morning and went for our ride before Sam had to leave and go back to OC. We found a neat view.. this is on Olive St.

This weekend was a blast! Although, I have a room full of laundry to do and a messy house to clean, we had a great weekend.
Every morning we woke up and went on a bike ride. Which was an awesome feeling, plus we were able to start our day so much earlier.
Yesturday, we went for a 2.2 mile ride.. I know it doesn’t sound like allot, but it’s better than not doing anything physical. The girls love it soo much. My dad had called later that day, and asked if we wanted to come over for some pizza and beer. Like, I would say no! My two favorite things!
We hadn’t gone over there in a few weeks because the girls were sick.. and we try not to spread our germs.. well it least to people we know. We are selective germ spreaders! =)
Anyways… lots of pictures on this post.. Mostly because Sam is still working in OC and likes to look at all the pics… I don’t want him to feel lonely! =)
When we got there Jacquelyn wanted grandma to make tortillas.. So grandma gave Jacquelyn a pre-made tortilla to work with. She loved it.

So if your wondering why so many pictures in the sun.. I was trying to get some great lens flare. It’s still a work in process.
We have been thinking about getting a bike trailer for the girls for awhile. In fact we were thinking about getting one 2 years ago for Jacquelyn. Sam surprised us last night and brought one home. We immediately put it on the bikes and went for a ride, the girls loved it. So this morning at around 7 we went for another ride. It was gorgeous this morning, not too warm yet. we rode a 1 1/2 miles.. not too shabby to start with.
These were taken with he point n shoot…

The girls have been sick for about a week with one of the first colds of the season. So, thursday morning I took them to the park.
Jacquelyn was finally able to try out her soccer ball that we had got her the past weekend. She was also sporting her sneakers! And London, was just chilin!

Excuse the pics.. there from my cell phone camera. But, I took these last night at Twink & Mikes…
Both girls fell asleep on him and he loved it!

Early … well 7:30am early.. us girls (myself, Jacquelyn and London) met my dad up at his usual spot for a little hike. We saw lots of quail and lizards on the hike. My dad had even saw a coyote on his way to meet us. Anyways, we had a nice time,Jacquelyn had a huge smile, this is definitely one of her favorite things.
As we were heading back, Jacquelyn stumpled and fell and hit her mouth. Now she has a huge fat lip and I think a tooth might be loose! Poor thing.. but she handled it well.
After our hike, my mom made breakfast and me and girls went to OC to see Sam, Twink & Mike.
If you are ever in the mood for shrimp tacos .. Twink makes some that are very yummy! =)

So everyone is always commenting on the similarities between Jacquelyn and London. I deceided to to compare them according to there age… As they get older they are definitely starting to resemble eachother more!

Where did the weekend go??? I seriously lost at least two days!
We went to my parents house for breakfast. My mom made some great bacon!! , potatoes, eggs and fruit.
Every morning my dad feeds the “birds”, yes the birds. The wild birds and a bunny. He puts wild birdseed on the retaining wall, but this morning he fed the wrong bird. The wrong bird, being a hawk. My dads buffet of birdseed for non-predatory birds attracted a hawk who gladly feasted on a little finch. Luckily, we didn’t see all this happen, but Sam was able to capture the aftermath. If you look closely you’ll notice the feathers on the pillar and the hawk has something in his claws.
On another note…. We got Jacquelyn goggles for her swimming class, she was so excited!!
I put London in her hair chair for the first time! Could this mean that I may actually stop holding her for a little bit?? maybe … just maybe…
