Somethings cookin’

Well, as we all know the economy hasn’t been our friend lately. Sam has started his own company,

SunWise Solar Power but until it takes off completely, Sam will also be using his construction skills as being a

handyman. So if you are in need or know someone who is, give him a call.

A Sunday at the San Diego Zoo

*** Last week Jessica and Maddie came over to go swimming. She told me that they had been given tickets to the zoo and that they would share them with us! So, we each only had to pay for one ticket! What a deal! Thank you so much for doing this for us. We had a great time!

Okay so yesturday, we conquered the weekend crowds at the San Diego Zoo. We met my cousin Jessica, her husband Mike and there cutie pie daughter Maddy at the zoo. The morning was great, it was overcast and cool! I love mornings like that. Although, the morning was a perfect temperature, we managed to hit a little drama.

On the way to the zoo, Mike and Jessica had some car problems on the way, so they had to go back home and switch cars. Once we got into the park, we like everyone else, gathered around the Flamingos, to coordinate a plan of attack - what the best way to view the entire zoo? We decided on beginning with the bus tour, after purchasing our tickets and parking the strollers, we realized that Jacquelyn isn’t with us! I frantically look around seeing where she was and nothing. She gone! My heart was pounding, I/we have never “lost” her before! Sam quickly backtracks to where we were and found her at the flamingos calmly looking around and saying “mamas gone”. Thank goodness she was alright!

The rest of the day was smooth sailing, well as best as could be with a 2 1/2 year old, 1 1/2 year old and 2 month old.

If you are thinking about going to the San Diego Zoo, on October 2nd which is the parks 92nd anniversary there is FREE admission for everyone.

California Sun

I just love the glow of the sun before it sets! It’s just a shame that time can’t stand still a that moment.

What do you think of Sam’s head shot?  I took this one of Jacquelyn - I was trying to get some lens flare, guess I should have taken off the filter! =)

First Meeting

As many of you already know, Sam’s parents live in Alberta, Canada. Every summer, Scott (Sam's dad) rides his motorcycle down from Alberta to California making stops along the way visiting family and friends. Today, we were able to see him, first time since last Christmas. Sam was able to take a few photos of Scott meeting London for the first time.

Morning Swim

What’s a summer day without an a morning swim? I remember as a kid, the first thing we would do on a summer morning is jump in the pool, followed by Domino’s pizza, a movie another swim, sneak in some chores, dinner and another swim. Don’t you just love the summer?

Starting today, we will be house sitting for my parents, for almost a month. We’ll be sure to let you know when were throwing the summer bash! =) just kidding, mom!

July 1 2008

Sam had a bid on Orange County today, so we decided to tag along with him. Our first stop was on the Ortega, the mall and a long ride home.
