A few moments

Whenever we are at my parents, Jacquelyn is all over them. It’s about the only time I have noticed her being jealous when it comes to London. She doesn’t seem to mind my dad holding her but when my mom holds London, Jacquelyn finds some reason to pull her away. Yesturday was different though.. Jacquelyn spent all day with them so that Sam and I could get some work done. So, when we got there Sam and Jacquelyn got in the pool which gave my mom a few moments to hold London.

The Girls

As I was folding this huge mountain of cloths yesterday , I had London laying on the bed.. Anytime London is laying down Jacquelyn wants to lay and cuddle with her.. London was getting hungry so we made her a bottle and Jacquelyn wanted to feed her. I was really surprised out how well she did!

Looking at these photos we realized that London and Jacquelyn have the same nose.. except it looks like London’s is bigger.. maybe it’ll go down or she’ll grow into it.

I like the photo of Jacquelyn showing London how she can show “two” on her hand. She was doing that all day yesturday, ..”two” gummy bears, “two” towels.. “two” fingers…

Carlsbad Beach

We escaped the heat on Sunday and went down to Carlsbad. We’ve only been down to the beach a few times and Jacquelyn has always seemed to enjoy it, except this time… “my feet dirty”.. that’s all she kept saying! Then we went down to Solona Beach to the Farmer’s Market. Anyways, while we were down there we saw the DelMar fair - anyone wanna go? Here are some photos of the beach and here are some photos taken from the Farmer’s Market .

Our Firsts this year

Yesterday, ,my mom called and invited us to come over to swim and for some pizza. So, of course we were all over that! Tia, Jessica and Maddy also joined us. It was the first time for the girls to swim this year - and what made it even more special is that they (Maddy and Jacquelyn) could do it together.

Jacquelyn was a little unsure at first but Maddy took to it like a pro!

A Smile

London is now 6 weeks old! I can’t believe it.. the time has gone so fast. Around three weeks ago she started cooing .. Two weeks ago we would see an occasionally smile.. but the last few days we have really been able to see it .. she’ll even smile for us! =)

Big Sister

No one ever knows how a sibling is going to react to a new addition.. but Jacquelyn is an awesome bigsister. She comforts London when she's crying.. runs to get a diaper when it needs to be changed. When we leave the house she always asks if London can come..And she loves holding her!

Fried Chicken - Southern Syle

Have you ever had homemade fried chicken??? I never had until last Sunday. My dads sister, (Aunt Peachie) was visiting from Texas. Before she returned home she wanted to treat her little brother to a southern meal - fried chicken, mashed potatoes & gravy, peas, corn and chicken & dumplings! What a treat!

We took some photos with my dads point- n -shoot..

- Four generations - my grandpa, mom & aunt, Jessica and me, Maddy and Jacquelyn

- Dad & London - she is definitely going to be another one of “papas girls”

- Jacquelyn being silly

-Maddy being a cutie!

- Jacquelyn helping grandma with the dishes

- Dad and Aunt Peachy

Future Soccer Player

After an early dinner, we took a walk to the park. I had failed to realize during my drive bys of the park, that it didn’t cater to “little ones”. It is basically has “big kid” stuff with a slide. We were hesitant to let her go down the slide, but she did it and loved it.

But, what she seemed to love more is playing soccer. I think that The Mike Kendricks of the world will need to teach her some soccer moves! =)
